The year began for the Bantams with the announcement that the team was selected by the OMHA to represent Canada in Sweden during the Christmas holidays. This turned out to be the icing on the cake of a fantastic year for this team of 14 and 15 year old players. During the season they entered 3 Major Bantam Tournaments and won all of them. During their 2 weeks in Sweden , they played 9 games, 6 in a tournament and 3 exhibition games. They won 6 of 9, outscoring the opposition 63-21, but more importantly, by all reports, the players, team officials, and parents represented Canada very well and were true ambassadors for their country and their sport.

Back home, they entered the OMHA playdowns meeting Stratford in the quarter-finals and winning the 6-point series, 6 points to 2. In the semi-finals, they swept Brampton in 3 games and then beat Newmarket in an 8-point final, 8 points to 4 for the OMHA Championship. They then went to Elliot Lake to compete in the All Ontario Challenge Tournament, featuring championship teams from the Northern Ontario Hockey League, Eastern Ontario Hockey League, OMHA, and the Metro Toronto Hockey League. The bantams, after falling behind 3-0, defeated Goulding Park Rangers of the MTHL 5-4 in the final game to become All Ontario Champions.
